The first feature based on the popular adventure-comedy Naruto, Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow
takes knuckle-headed ninja-in-training Naruto Uzumaki to an unexpected
place: a film set. With Sakura, Sasuke, and Kakashi-sensei, he must
protect Yukie Fujikaze, the temperamental star of a series of period
melodramas. Yukie is rude to her fans (including Naruto), throws
tantrums, gets drunk, and mistreats her co-workers. But she doesn't
seem to be in any danger until the director decides to shoot her new
film in the Land of Snow. In the frozen north, the ninja bodyguards
discover Yukie is really Koyuki Kazehana, the long-lost princess of an
icebound realm that's been usurped by her evil uncle Doto. Naruto and
his friends use exotic jutsu (and plain brute strength) to defeat
Doto's minions. The Naruto TV series takes place in a timeless
Neverland, and the regular characters feel out of place in a modern
setting, making jokes about movie-making.
